Savvy online sports bettors and smart casino sports bettors love taking the points and betting on NFL underdogs. However since week 8 of this NFL season, underdogs have gone 9-15 against the spread and the biggest dogs, those teams getting 10 points or more are just 1-8 against the spread over the same time frame.

This week's NFL card brings us Arizona, Detroit, San Francisco, and Oakland as big underdogs receiving 10 or more points. Other underdogs receiving more than 4 points include Minnesota, Cleveland, and the New York Jets.

The Cardinals face the Packers in Green Bay as 14 point underdogs. The Cardinals were blown out 45-10 by the Chargers last week in the same role as 14 point underdogs. The Cardinals covered as a 16.5 point underdog on the road against the Chiefs in Week 10. The Raiders are 14 point underdogs at home versus the Chiefs. The Raiders are 0-3 both straight up and against the spread as home dogs on the season. The Lions are a 10 point home underdog versus the Rams this week. The Lions are 2-1 as a home dog on the season including an upset victory over the Patriots in week 2. The 49ers take on the Seahawks as a 10-point dog in Seattle on Sunday. The Niners lost to the Rams 39-10 as a 10 point home dog in week 7.

Recent trends indicate that it is likely that neither of this week's big dogs will cover the spread. However, trends are made to be broken, and good online and casino sports bettors recognize an opportunity.

So get your underdog bet in, whether you back a dog or fade a dog; good luck!!
